Do It Yourself Wedding Invitations Will Save You Money
Having set the wedding date, your mind won’t immediately think about do it yourself wedding invitations. What kind of do it yourself wedding invitations do you want to create? Do you want something classical with perhaps a champagne glass illustration and the words “Wedding Invitation” on it? Or do you want to have something very personal – perhaps a photo of you and your fiancé? If you or any of your family members/friends know how to use the graphics packages on their computer, one cute idea is to use a photo of you and one of your fiancé when you were very young. Here are some simple ways that you can do this:
Use dingbats as little illustrations on your invites. (In case you don’t know, a dingbat acts like a font, you just find one that you like and download it to your font folder. Then just insert it into your document). So if you’re making a beach wedding invitation and need a seashell illustration, then search ‘free dingbat seashell’ on Google and you’ll find a whole host of free dingbats will come up.
Use free fonts to make your wedding invitations look stylish. Like dingbats, there are hundreds of free fonts around. All you need to do is download them and then use them in your invites.
Add ribbon, charms and other embellishments for depth and style.
Use an image from an image bank and print out your invite on photo card. Alternatively, use an image of you and your partner instead.
